Candy Tank

Inspired by the book The Candymakers by Wendy Mass, 5th grade students explored a unit of study on candy making. With the guidance of 5th grade teacher Mr. W, students researched, designed, packaged, and created a Shark Tank style pitch for their own candy creations. 

Seeing the students creativity and tenacity - especially during recipe testing- was both amusing and inspiring! We (students and teachers both) learned SO much through this experiment.  We're currently working on Candy Tank Season 2 with a new group of students this spring!
