Independent Study Projects

Mr. W's 5th grade students take on an independent study project each quarter.  Each student looks at their data and determines what they need to focus on- for instance some students are exploring informational text, some are working on acquiring new vocabulary.  How they focus on this goal is entirely up to them, some students write, create presentations, but most students create some sort of visual representation of their learning.
